The much-anticipated thriller “Vattam,” directed by Kamalakannan and starring actor Sibiraj, will debut on the OTT service Disney+Hotstar.
The plot of the movie was written by Srinivas Kavinayam, who is well known for writing the story of the critically acclaimed comedy “Soodhu Kavvum” with Nalan Kumarasamy. Dream Warrior Pictures produced the movie.
A group of protagonists, Mano, Ramanujam, Gautham, and Paru, endure a chaotic series of events over the course of one day in the suspenseful thriller “Vattam.” Their lives and perspectives on life are irrevocably altered by the occurrences.
When discussing the movie, Sibiraj claims: “”Vattam” is a significant movie in my career because it’s the first time I’ve worked with the esteemed Dream Warrior Pictures. I have always respected S.R. Prabhu and S.R. Prakash for their love of cinema and their dedication to finding original content and presenting it in the highest possible quality.
“I was already intrigued by the novelty and eccentricity of both of these movies, but the knowledge that “Vattam” was written by Srinivas Kavinayam of “Soodhu Kavvum” renown and directed by Kamalakannan of “Madhu Bana Kadai” fame interested me even more.
“I would say that “Vattam” has satisfied my lifelong dream of portraying a straightforward boy from next door. I portray Mano, a cheerful character that enjoys living in the now rather than having lofty goals.
Despite the fact that I am the main character, Andrea Jeremiah and Athulya Ravi’s characters in particular receive equal attention in the film.
Kamalakannan, the director, says: “When we want to board a huge wheel, the location to do so always stays the same. Similar to this, our daily lives begin in the same predictable manner. The day comes to an end after we follow the same routes, encounter the same people, carry the same ideas, and do the same chores.
“The following day, we conduct the identical procedures. These patterns can shift somewhat, which can cause us to reevaluate our routines and reflect on our past. We can observe a significant internal alteration taking place when we get at the same point where we must dismount as in the case of a large wheel. We shall also undergo a change in our behaviours. The fundamental premise of “Vattam” will be this.”
“The audience will experience a big wheel with questions related to the drama. One such tale in which the lives of a number of persons who are completely unrelated to one another intersect is “Vattam.” Their lives and ideas on life alter in a matter of 24 hours, “explained he.
