In Gautham Menon’s semi-autobiographical film Vaaranam Aayiram, he then played two roles (2008). His appearances as a smuggler in Ayan (2009) and an aggressive cop in the Singam trilogy established him as an action star (Singam, Singam II, and Singam III). He was speaking at the Agaram Foundation’s 40th anniversary celebration. This educational trust grants cash prizes to government school board exam winners. He later made a strong remark regarding the new National Educational Policy.
