The cost of movie tickets has risen to the point where an average middle-class family can no longer afford to see more than one movie every month. Customers want prices to drop, but multiplex and independent theatre operators want the government to raise costs even more.
The All India Multiplex Association has a surprise news for moviegoers this year on World Cinema Day, which is commemorated annually on September 16. Customers will just pay Rs. 75/- for tickets on that day, a Friday, during the entire day.
The day is marked by those who intend to watch their favourite movie with family or friends (September 16th). You will save at least 50% and possibly more. The 15th marks the release of Simbu’s “Venthu Thanindadhu Kaadu,” which was directed by Gautham Menon. I’ll see you at the theatre.
