‘I use a decent shampoo, conditioner, serum, and mask because I have dry hair.’
My hair care routine is pretty much the same all year, whether it’s summer, winter, or monsoon. Since my hair is susceptible to dryness, I use a decent shampoo, conditioner, serum, and mask. Once a week, I try to shampoo and condition my hair before adding conditioner and serum. I replace it once a month with a hair mask. That’s the only thing I do about my hair. — Singer Somlata Acharyya Chowdhury
‘For healthy hair, I drink plenty of water and eat seasonal fruits.’
My hair is naturally straight. Most of my hair issues disappeared after I had a keratin therapy last year. However, since I am susceptible to dandruff, I make sure to use an anti-dandruff shampoo three times a week. During the summer, I even give myself a hot oil massage once a week. It not only enhances my hair, but it also assists me in maintaining its natural straightness and smoothness. For healthy hair, I drink plenty of water and eat seasonal fruits.

‘After shampooing, just use the comb to detangle your hair.’
Keeping your curly hair in check during the summer can be challenging. The first thing I suggest is that you stop combing your hair at the roots. Using the comb to detangle your hair just after you’ve washed it and applied shampoo and a deep moisturising conditioner. Hairfall will be minimised as a result of this. To keep the hair manageable and smooth, use a pleasant hair gel combined with a curl cream on damp hair.

‘I oil my hair every other day to keep it lustrous.’
Since I often use a lot of cosmetics and heat on my hair for photo shoots, I use a keratin-based heat protector and a hair mask to keep my hair smooth and safe from the harsh styling products. During the season, I even oil my hair on alternate days with a combination of coconut and almond oil for lustre. People with curly hair should use a shampoo that is free of parabens and sulphates. — Riya Bhattacherjee, model
