Sweet Boondi is a simple and fast dessert to prepare. Gram rice, saffron, almonds, green cardamom, ghee, and sugar are the main ingredients in this recipe. Sweet Boondi Ingredients for 10 Serving

  • 1 and 1/2 cup gram flour (besan)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 pinches saffron
  • 1 and 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cup ghee

For Garnishing

  • 1/2 teaspoon green cardamom
  • 8 almonds

How to Make Sweet Boondi (Sweet Boondi)

First, make the sugar syrup.

In a large nonstick skillet, combine the sugar and 1 1/2 cup water, stir well, and cook over high heat for 5-7 minutes, or until the sugar syrup is of 1 thread consistency. Remove the pan from the heat until the sugar has fully dissolved and the syrup has become slightly sticky.

Step 2: Make a boondi batter.

In a vessel, sieve gramme flour and add water as needed. 1 tbsp. saffron, soaked in 1 tbsp. water Ensure that the batter does not become too thin and that no lumps form. Heat ghee in a pan over medium heat, then pour some gramme flour batter onto a perforated spoon held just above the hot ghee. Allow tiny droplets to fall into the ghee by gently tapping the spoon’s edge.

Step 3: Cook the boondis in a deep fryer.

Stir and gently deep fry the boondis in ghee until crisp but not brown. Drain the excess oil by placing the boondi on a clean kitchen towel or paper towel. Place the boondi in the sugar syrup and leave it there for 5 minutes before removing it.

4th phase Nuts and cardamom powder can be sprinkled on top.

Using a knife, chop the almonds and grind the cardamom to a fine powder. Separate them into separate bowls. Spread the boondis on a large plate, sprinkle with cardamom powder and chopped almonds, and gently blend. (this is optional)

Step 5: Set aside the boondis to cool.
