According to reports, Suchi, a powerful lady, has always dreamed of starting and running a company that focuses on simple yet in-demand consumer goods. The idea for Limeroad is claimed to have come to her while she was on maternity leave.
In 2012, she and Manish Saksena, Ankush Mehra, and Prashant Malik began the journey of creating Limeroad. Lightspeed Venture Partners, Matrix Partners, and Tiger Global have all invested $20 million in the company. Limeroad has a large team of 200+ IIT-educated engineers and NIFT-trained designers. Users have posted 1.5 million scrapbooks so far, with 100,000 scrapbooks being created every day. Since their start, their Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) has increased by 600 percent.
Nonetheless, Suchi and her colleagues had to overcome various obstacles, including recruiting the proper people to form a solid team with a mix of competence and a can-do mentality, and obtaining the necessary infrastructure. To yet, the existing eco-system for professionally educated vendors has proven to be a difficult task. Nothing could stop her from achieving her goals since she was so driven.
