There isn’t a single person who doesn’t believe that sarees are one of the most versatile ethnic garments. Those six yards have moulded and blended so beautifully with our shifting sensibilities that they don’t belong anywhere. Though pattu sarees continue to be popular, contemporary sarees are catching up. If you’re still not convinced, check out this saree worn by Priya Mani Raj. For the famous show “Dhee Kings Vs. Queens,” the South beauty wore a saree designed by Saree Bari.
The mulmul body of the white saree is covered in black tie-dyed prints. However, the torso and pallu feature hand-block abstract prints in red, yellow, and blue. Priya wore her saree with a blue washed denim jacket with patchwork and abstract motifs that matched her saree.
Her dress was complemented by a pair of hoops. A low-tied bun, a pair of shades, and contoured cheeks with red lips completed the look.
