TRICHY: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami appealed to voters on Tuesday not to give the DMK a chance because the group would destroy the state. He charged the DMK with causing ruckus and brawls. People should vote the AIADMK back into power to teach the DMK a lesson, the CM said while campaigning for AIADMK candidates in Pudukkottai district.
“The DMK raised a huge ruckus when we convened the state assembly to prove our majority (in 2017). Even the speaker of the assembly (P Dhanapal) was abused. Will our state advance if such a rowdy group forms the government?,” Palaniswami asked.
He reported that DMK employees caused a ruckus at a Chennai eatery, a Perambalur beauty parlour, and a Thirumayam coconut store. “The DMK and its chief are masters of deception. Palaniswami said, “The party will never return to power.”
The chief minister said that health minister C Vijayabaskar treated the Covid-19 pandemic in the state efficiently when campaigning in Viralimalai.
