In a Season 7 episode of “Koffee With Karan,” Bollywood actresses Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor discussed their near-death journey experiences.
As Janhvi and Sara grew closer over the breathtaking grandeur of Kedarnath, their journey encountered two near-death incidents. The two’s vacation took an unexpected turn when Janhvi decided to hike at Bhairavnath instead of taking the usual route.
Says Sara “We made the decision to travel to Bhairavnath, and there was a well-traveled path. However, we believed that we were superior. We opted to go hiking instead. Janhvi said, “Let’s simply climb this.” There were only pebbles on an elevation that was 85 degrees.”
Sara admitted that she was reluctant to ascend the slope but that she did so out of fear of being referred to as a “buzzkill”.
Sara described how, at one point, she was certain they would fall off due to unsteady rocks, admitting that fear had set in.
They dangled off the edge with no way out in sight and took comfort when they noticed a fan coming toward them.
He was useless to them, much to their dismay, since he merely wanted to take a photo with them. After nearly 30 minutes of being stuck, Sara’s driver eventually located them, and with the aid of special forces, they were rescued.
Their problems were made worse by bad weather.
Janhvi recalled how Sara chose a cheap motel without a heater in an effort to save Rs 6000, and how this decision almost caused them to freeze.
She stated: “Two thermals, a puffer jacket, three shawls, two pairs of track pants, and two sweaters were all I brought to Kedarnath. I put on every item of clothing I possessed and still shivered, Karan.”
Sara’s lips had become blue and she was shaking by the time she met her pals and went back to their room, it should be added.
She went on to say that in addition to the hotel’s bathroom being questionable and there being no heater in the minus seven-degree temperature, The pot would have broken if I had sat on it, remarked Janhvi, adding to her tale of a miserable hotel stay.
