Shreya Ghoshal, a popular playback singer, recently gave birth to a baby boy and shared the good news with her followers on social media. On February 5, 2015, Shreya married Shiladitya Mukhopadhyaya, a childhood friend whom she had dated for almost ten years, in a traditional wedding. On March 4 of this year, she revealed her pregnancy.
The young couple has called their son Devyaan Mukhopadhyaya, according to the newest news. Shreya Ghoshal shared a photo of herself and her husband holding the kid and captioned it, “Introduce yourself to ‘Devyaan Mukhopadhyaya’. On May 22nd, he arrived and permanently changed our lives. He filled our hearts with a type of love that only a mother or father can feel for their child at that first look when he was born. Love that is irrepressible and overwhelming.” (emphasis added)
In Vasanthabalan’s film, ‘Album,’ Shreya made her Tamil playback singing debut. In her debut Tamil single, she sang ‘Yen Chellame.’ She rose to fame in Tamil after collaborating with AR Rahman on the song ‘Munbe Va’ for the film ‘Sillunu Oru Kadhal,’ which starred Suriya and Jyothika in the key roles. She has received four National Awards for Best Playback Singer and has sang a number of chart-topping Tamil songs. Surprisingly, one of her most recent songs is a lullaby, Aagaya Neelangalil, which she recorded for AR Rahman’s first production endeavour, 99 Songs.
