Shilpa Shetty Kundra, a stunning actor, is well-known for her polished performance and vivacious personality. In 1993, the actress made her Bollywood début in the movie Baazigar. According to reports, on April 3, 2023, the sessions court dismissed a plea made in opposition to a decision made by the magistrate court that released Shilpa Shetty from the obscenity case. Judge SC Jadhav of the Additional Sessions Court rejected the MRA Marg police's appeal of the magisterial court's decision dated January 18, 2022.

The metropolitan magistrate, Ketaki Chavan, had released the actress in the Magisterial Court order, citing that the accusations against her were unfounded and that she was a victim of the purported actions of Accused No. 1. (Gere). The MRA Marg police, on the other hand, believed that the actor committed an obscene act by allowing herself to be kissed in a public setting. The actress, however, added in her response that she would bring a second lawsuit against the complainant for making up a case.

Shilpa Shetty and Richard Gere, a Hollywood actor, went to an AIDS awareness gathering in Delhi on April 15, 2007. Richard was frequently seen hugging and kissing Shilpa on the cheeks during one scene of the event. Everyone was so outraged by this action that an order for Shilpa and Richard's arrest was issued by the Rajasthan court. Additionally, a complaint was filed under IPC sections 292, 293, and 294 as well as other obscenity-related sections.

Shilpa later submitted a plea regarding the matter, and the Supreme Court later transferred the case to the metropolitan magistrate court at Ballard Estate in Mumbai. The actress then filed for discharge in February 2017 and stated that the accusations against her were the result of her failure to object when the American star professed his love for her in a public setting. But in her view, this would not have diminished her position as a co-conspirator in the alleged crimes, she said.

Shilpa Shetty shared a sneak glimpse of her Holika Dahan celebration with her family on her Instagram account on March 6, 2023. Shilpa was joined at the start of the film by her mother Sunanda Shetty, her husband Raj Kundra, and their children Samisha and Viaan. She explained in the video that they used to write their bad emotions and thoughts on little chits, which they would then throw into the holy fire. The Shetty family and the Kundra family use this method to eliminate all the evil from their lives.
